June 2009
Blackpool Tower & Circus wins prestigious tourism award

Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board have awarded the honour of 'Large Visitor Attraction of The Year' for 2009/10 to Blackpool Tower & Circus. The award was made during the presentation ceremony and luncheon at Ribby Hall and accepted on behalf of the Tower team by General Manager, Geoff Sage.

In the opinion of Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board: ‘It’s hard for this attraction NOT to stand out – for very obvious reasons. However, the judges saw this award as recognition for a brilliant team. Blackpool Tower and Circus achieved high scores for service and welcome, as well as for the variety and presentation of activities available - making this attraction remarkable value for money. Often an overused expression but there really IS something for everyone here, where the order of the day is - simply to have FUN.’
